Colden Company Attends MSP Summit

Colden Company Attends MSP Summit

JL MSP 501 2025Colden Company was in attendance at the MSP Summit in Orlando, Florida September 15-17. This event is a great opportunity for us to see the latest technology and hear from leading vendors like Microsoft, Pax8, ConnectWise and Kaseya. Understanding the plans of the leading vendors helps to prepare us to advise our customers.

The conference theme was, no surprise, Artificial Intelligence, specifically agentic AI. I am not sure there was a session that didn’t mention the importance of AI going forward in some respect and how an AI agent can help. While we agree that AI will be an important factor in determining which businesses succeed and which do not in the future, Colden Company advises proceeding with caution. While vendors like Microsoft are pushing AI heavily and have invested heavily in the technology, studies are showing that a majority of businesses in 2025 are not getting a return on investment. We do believe that will change as the technology matures, but we advise proceeding with caution. Steps like developing AI policies for your business and ensuring data security first should occur before leaping into AI.

There are some areas where AI has made an immediate impact. If you are a Colden Company customer reading this, you are already using AI in your data security. Tools like SentinelOne and Huntress Breach Protection are heavily using AI in their products to detect malware and bad actors. AI is excellent at seeing anomalies among millions of lines of log data.

The conference also celebrated the best-of-the-best in the MSP community. The annual MSP501 awards were given out. Of the approximately 100,000 Managed Services Providers globally, 501 were selected as the winners of the prestigious award. The criteria is a proprietary algorithm based on certain financial metrics and evaluation of business processes and tools. Colden Company Inc. is proud to have been a recipient of the award again this year. (5 years running). Colden Company uses, as our primary technology tool, eight of the nine tools chosen as winners of best-in-class as rated by the MSP community. In other words, we are delivering best-in-class solutions to our customers in areas like data security, cloud solutions and more. That is why we made the cut as one of the leading global Managed Services Providers.
